Read the topic carefully
Once you decided to write about a given topic,you should read it more than once in order to fully understand what and how you are going to deal with it
Underline or circle the key words
While reading the topic,you should underline or circle the most important words which you think are useful to limit your writing
Specify your objective:what do you want to write
A-A short story
B-An article
C-A formal or friendly letter
D-An essay
Write down the first draft
A-you write down any ideas that come up to your mind.the ideas should be relevant to the topic
B-you may notice/observe that all your ideas are in disorder,but don't worry
C-once you have finished jotting down ideas,you start to write some connectors or linking words
Plan your paragraphs
you should specify the number of paragraphs from the number of the main ideas you have already written
Write down the second draft:the paragraphs
A-Each paragraph may elaborate one idea which is reinforced by supporters and examples
B-Relate/join your sentences using connectors.you should be careful because an excessive use of these connectors might spoil your writing
Revise your paragraphs by asking these questions
A-content
a-Do all my ideas lead to the topic
b-Did i use enough ideas to convince the reader
c-Are my ideas clear
B-form
a-Did i write grammatically correct sentences
b-Are the verb tenses correct
c-Did i spell all the words correctly
d-Did i punctuate well my paragraphs
Write down the final draft
Make sure your handwriting is clear and your paragraphs are indented
